The FutureLife-Now! Toolkit is a comprehensive collection of resources designed to support the implementation of FutureLife-Now!, a Southern African Development Community (SADC) youth empowerment programme. The Toolkit provides materials and resources to guide implementers in effectively rolling out the programme across different country contexts.

What’s in the Toolkit?

The Toolkit includes:

  • Igniting SADC’s Future – FutureLife-Now! Publication– provides an overview of the programme, its history, evolution and its key components and successes.
  • FutureLife-Now! Guide for Implementers – provides practical guidelines for implementing the programme.
  • FutureLife-Now! Resource Index – provides a directory of available resources.
  • FutureLife-Now! Resources –is a collection of tools, materials and resources including videos and animations.

 

Who is the Toolkit for?

The Toolkit is designed for a wide range of stakeholders who have a role to play in youth development, including:

  • Ministries of Education and Health (national, sub-national, and community levels).
  • Other government ministries (Natural Resources & Climate Change, Gender, Community Development, Social Welfare, Youth, Sports).
  • Schools and health facilities (teachers, healthcare workers, youth facilitators, peer educators).
  • Organisations that have an interest in implementing FutureLife-Now!, such as non-governmental organisations (NGOs); UN agencies; and community-based organisations
