Contact Forms – If Akismet is enabled on the site, the contact form submission data — IP address, user agent, name, email address, website, and message — is submitted to the Akismet service (also owned by Automattic) for the sole purpose of spam checking. The actual submission data is stored in the database of the site on which it was submitted and is emailed directly to the owner of the form (i.e. the site author who published the page on which the contact form resides). This email will include the submitter’s IP address, timestamp, name, email address, website, and message. Data Synced: Post and post meta data associated with a user’s contact form submission. If Akismet is enabled on the site, the IP address and user agent originally submitted with the comment are synced, as well, as they are stored in post meta.
Jetpack Subscriptions (blog posts and comment subscriptions) – Your email address is saved in our database to enable the auto-sending of comments or blog posts that you have subscribed to.
Give Donations – Give donations plugin stored your name, email address and amount donated, on our MIET AFRICA database. Cookies are also used to send your name, email address and donation amount to PayFast which is a secure payment gateway, which handles your billing and credit card. MIET AFRICA does not store any credit card information on our website
Other – there may be other unspecified cookies used, such as referral links.
Web beacons may be used to collect non-personal information about your use of our Website and the Website of selected sponsors, participants, members and advertisers, your use of special promotions or newsletters, and other activities.
